Excellent.
The classes were well structured and got progressively more challenging over time

and always constituted a good workout.

The routines always included different options for people of different ability.

Yuko has such a respectful unassuming style!

Her focus is always on us - you can just tell that she adjusts things offering many comments on options one can take to make sure everyone feels included at their level. At any level, you can get a strong workout!

Classes are very well structured and intelligently taught.

The warm-up, practice movements, and forms all relate and flow into each other seamlessly.

Yuko makes learning Yang-style Tai Chi an organic and enjoyable process.

Yuko and her tai chi classes have become a godsend to me.

She is patient and calm, and explains the movements slowly and from several different perspectives.

Is very reassuring.  After a few months, I can say I am well on my way to getting back to “normal" 

(after hip replacement surgery while dealing with a herniated disc in my back)

I've had surgery for removal of a spinal cord tumour. I also have serious lower back and sacral iliac nerve problems.

Through Yuko's ability as a Tai Chi instructor, I am gaining more confidence with my balance. She has explained to us how to use all the muscles in our feet, something that has not been shown to me before, despite all the physio I had. I have had Tai Chi instruction twice before in my past, but no one has been as explicit in how to use all my muscles to facilitate balance. She has been able to help me with cordination of movement, which of course has improved my sense of well being.

The instructions are very clear and the movements are so detailed

and at a pace that I can participate with confidence.

Her love for Tai Chi comes out clearly in her patience and warmth during each session.

These practices have been very beneficial to me:

I can now stand, sit and kneel with confidence at church, no longer wobbly or lucked knees.

Tai chi stand is a great skill. Before I spent most of my time sitting during Mass.

My mobility and balance have improved tremendously.

Now I am an avid walker without fear of falling or twisting my feet.

Yuko's yoga classes have been such an anchor of strength in my life over the last year. Her classes are infused with an effortless groundedness that keeps my awareness rooted in my body, but with a gentle, humble, and non-intrusive presence that make her classes feel so easy to attend! Yuko brings a fluid consistency to her practice, as well as variety, gradually adapting routines and postures to keep things diverse, and to exercise the body and awareness in its full range of motion. Moving along with her each week is like being easefully swept along by the strength of a powerful current, and before you know it, you're in great shape! She has such a sweet and light heart, it's always a pleasure to share with her in the power of the discipline she has cultivated. Thank you Yuko!
